About the school:

Pope John Paul II Roman Catholic Primary School is in Kecel, in Hungary. Kecel is a small town with 9,800 inhabitants. Most of the people work ont he agricultural lands and the town is 120 km far from the capital city, Budapest.
From August 2011 this school became a Roman Catholic Primary School. Every family was asked what religion they want to choose to their child(ren) and now 7 churches are represented at Pope John Paul II Roman Catholic Primary School. If any of the children doesn’t belong to any of the churches, he / she studies ethics. The school’s main task is to fight against racism, xenophobia and violence. We, teachers analyze and discuss integration strategies for our students with multireligious backgrounds.
